Change VS. Solutions

~ A women's perspective

People are ready for change, there is no denying that. I personally don't believe the current administration is working, but will Obama bring more change then Clinton?

There is scientific proof that women are different from men. Ask anyone, male or female, Women just don't think like men. Obama says that he stands for change but he's biologically speaking using the same type of thinking that every other male has used in US history. IF it time for a new way to do things in the White House, if its time to have change then why not have a women bring her very different view to the White House and see what new things she can do. She has the experience, and that reassures me more then promises every could. I believe what she says because she's been in the passenger seat, and we all know that even if your not driving being able to observe, can help you understand how and pick it up faster then someone who's never been there.

Lets be real. Women pay attention. And sometimes women actually do solve problems. Women give birth, run corporations; if we can trust them with future generations and our financial future, why not the Country?

Now I know that Obama does have some good ideas, and his record isn't horrible, but when has politics been about putting our faith in one individual? I have faith in only one thing, God. I choose to trust in Hillary's record and her experiences, even the bad ones after all what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. And with a strong women in the White House, the world might just see the change everyone is hoping for.

Feminist?

Why do you think people hesitate to accept the label feminist?
What is your impression of modern feminism?
Anyone willing to accept the label?

I think people fail to accept the label feminist because it has such a negative undertone. For instance just overhearing the word feminist without any context, and an automatic picture of radical women picketing for female rights appears. Some might wish to accept being labeled a feminist for many different reasons; one such reason is that they don’t wish to be considered radical. Another is they might, as old-fashion as the idea is, wants a husband and believes that being “a feminist” might discourage potential husbands. Other might not want the attention that comes with being a feminist or the responsibility of having to make a stand on issues.

Modern feminism is no longer what it was in a sense, but some things haven’t changes. Sure women have more rights, but there are many battles yet to be won for these activists, and they are still out there showing men how un-feminine they really are.

Me as an individual, I wouldn't say I was a feminist, mostly because if they came asking for supports I wouldn't go blindly into battle. Truthfully, as a female I am always going to support equal-opportunity and women's rights, but I am not radical, or an activist in any way, and to me being a feminist involves being an activist. I am not an activist, I am just a young girl trying to figure out what I believe in. In a few years.. who knows...

Ann Althouse

In her arcicle, she begins with a fact something that neither side can dispute and she does so with enough neutrality that neither side may be turned off before they reading the entire paper. then she proceeds not to talk to the critics of Alito not in a superior standpoint but on a equal field and asks them, not tells them that they should re-look at their possition on the supreme court nominee, Samuel Alito. She is trying to tell them that he isn't Scalia and he should be treated as an individuals regardless of their similarities. She also shows empathy to all sides and askes her audience to exibit the same trait
